Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Kreida: the Kreida app and the kreida.ai website. By using either, you agree to them.

What Kreida does

Kreida is a Markdown app for macOS. It requires a Mac with Apple silicon. It shows the Markdown files in a folder you choose, re-renders each file the moment it changes, and lets you edit them. Your files stay where they are, as plain Markdown files. Kreida has no account and no cloud service of its own.

The beta

Kreida is in a private beta. It is free during the beta, and access is by invitation. We may change what the app does, end the beta, or stop offering Kreida at any time. Beta software can have bugs.

Your files

Your files are yours. Kreida writes to a file only when you edit it, and moves a file to the Trash only when you ask it to. When a file changes on disk while you are editing it, Kreida combines the changes or keeps both versions, rather than overwriting either. Even so, keep your own backups, especially during the beta.

Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Kreida on Macs you own or control, for as long as you take part in the beta. Do not copy, sell or redistribute the app, and do not reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

Updates

Kreida checks for new versions, downloads them, and asks you before installing one.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Kreida for any unlawful purpose.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to our website, update service or infrastructure.
• You are responsible for the content of your files and for having the right to use it.

Third-party services

Kreida is downloaded and updated through GitHub, subject to GitHub’s terms. If the folder you open is in iCloud Drive or another cloud folder, that service moves your files under its own terms; Kreida takes no part in it. How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.

No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kreida is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Kreida may be unavailable, may change, or may not work as expected. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we do not keep copies of your files.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Kreida.

Termination

You may stop using Kreida at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access at our discretion, for example when the beta ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Cyprus. Rebbix LTD is registered in Cyprus under number HE 415187 (VAT 10415187Y), with its registered office at Agias Faneromenis, 143-145 Patsias Court, Flat/Office 201, Larnaca 6031, Cyprus.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Kreida evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
